Number of Venezuelan refugees could rise to eight million in 2020

The preliminary report on the crisis of Venezuelan migrants and refugees in the region is a document made by the OAS (Organization of American States) that was announced in recent weeks. From the causes that drive the exodus to the forecast of what may happen in the coming years, it is a work that seeks to contextualize and put figures to one of the most resonant tragedies of this time. Representative of Guaidó Gustavo Tarre opens at the OAS

The newly appointed ambassador of the government in charge of Venezuela before the OAS, Gustavo Tarre, intervened for the first time on Tuesday in the body, assuring that this entity will be essential for the “reconstruction” of his country. Tarre also said that he will request the re-entry of Venezuela to the Inter-American Human Rights system, from which the representatives of Nicolás Maduro had left.
