623 positive to Covid in one day and confirmed cases in the Dominican Republic rise to 29,764
Confirmed coronavirus cases increased to 29,764, with 623 new positives recorded.
This Thursday 2,729 PCR tests were taken, for a total of 138,698 samples processed.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the death toll rises 712, with 14 new deceased. The fatality rate is 2.39 percent.
Coronavirus in numbers
Those recovered are 16,357; 12,695 active cases, of which 2,862 are in hospital isolation and 9,833 in home isolation.
Hospitalizations there are 872 people, 56 percent of hospital occupation.
At least 193 people in Intensive Care Units. 96 people are receiving mechanical ventilation.
417 people in Greater Santo Domingo are under internment, of whom 90 are in the ICU. While in this area at least 52 people are under ventilation.
The median age of those infected is 39 years. 53.91 percent are men and 75.73 percent of the cases are concentrated in 12 municipalities.
In total, there are 226 Covid-19 positive health workers, of whom 149 are women.

The 98th bulletin of the Ministry of Public Health, released this Thursday, indicates that the confirmed ones were 29,141, with 510 new positives.
The dead were 698 so far, seven occurred on Wednesday.
While 16,223 had recovered from coronavirus.
