Alleged Dominican drug trafficker known as “César El Abusador” arrested in Colombia

César Emilio Peralta (the Abuser) was captured early this morning according to statements by the police commander in Cartagena to the newspaper El Tiempo.

The information was confirmed to that Colombian newspaper by General Henry Sanabria, commander of the Police in Cartagena, who said the man was arrested at dawn on Monday.

“It was a hot operation. We established through a coordinated work with the DEA, the FBI and the Dominican Republic Police that Peralta was a few days ago in Cartagena and that in the next few hours he would travel to Panama, so we had to act promptly to prevent their escape, “General Sanabria assured the newspaper.

‘César El Abusador’ was a fugitive since August, when in Santo Domingo, a major operation was carried out against drug trafficking that led to the capture of several people.

The Cartagena police chief said that “the Abuser” was in Cartagena for a few days and that in the next few hours he would travel to Panama, so they had to “act quickly to prevent their escape.”

This Monday they captured the drug trafficker César Emilio Peralta, in Cartagena, Colombia, according to information offered by the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD). For this afternoon a press conference is planned to give all the details of the arrest and the way in which the national authorities would proceed.

The Puerto Rican authorities have indicated that César el Abusador began drug trafficking in 1997 and was arrested in the Dominican Republic in 2000, 2008 and 2015.
