SANTO DOMINGO (EFE) .- The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), through the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA), will offer training to aeronautical personnel of Bolivia in air traffic control and other technical functions, informed today the Dominican airline.
According to a statement, this training will be carried out under a cooperation agreement between the civil aviation authorities of both countries signed by the general director of the IDAC, Alejandro Herrera, and the director of the Bolivian Aeronautics Authority, General Célier Arispe Rosas.
Taking advantage of a visit to the Norge Botello Aeronautical Complex in Santo Domingo, the South American country official requested that part of his staff receive training in the Dominican Republic, given that the ASCA is certified as Trainair Plus by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) .
“Today we are committed to the State of Bolivia to provide assistance in air traffic control to its aeronautical personnel through the ASCA,” the general director of the IDAC told General Rosas.
The executive director of the Bolivian Aeronautics Authority said that, upon ascertaining the quality levels of the teams and the personnel of the ASCA trainers, he was interested in having his aeronautical personnel receive training in this country, points out the IDAC note.
“In my country we are beginning to develop the topic of air transport. This is an opportunity to have the information and, later on, that our personnel can come to be trained here in the ASCA, “said Rosas.
The Bolivian general highlighted the interest and commitment they have to take care of the skies of both countries through surveillance and operational safety as a basic task and by intention of its president, Evo Morales, and the Minister of Public Works of that country, to start a cycle of more open skies.
