Medina receives an OAS secretary

SANTO DOMINGO.- President Danilo Medina received the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, at the National Palace.

During the courtesy visit, which took place in an environment of cordiality and fraternity, Almagro recognized the commitment of the Dominican Republic to multilateralism and the Inter-American System.

Medina also met at the National Palace with the directors of the Central American Parliament (Parlacen), chaired by the Dominican deputy Tony Raful, and reiterated his support for the regional organization based in Guatemala.

At the meeting, which was attended by deputies from the different countries that make up the Parlacen, the President received his support for the regional forums held by the organization in the country.
