The United States Embassy in Santo Domingo reported this Friday through a statement that updated information on COVID-19 should be sent to all US citizens residing in the country in the event of a health crisis.

The information published on the website of the Embassy in Santo Domingo, indicates that at this moment there is a Level 4 Health Warning not to travel to the Dominican Republic due to the impact of COVID-19.

He adds that the Dominican Republic has 41,915 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 864 deaths.

Highlighting that medical care is seriously reduced with many hospitals almost or totally already at their maximum capacity, limited beds in Intensive Care Units, and increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 of hospitalized patients.
