Three other Venezuelans arrested after seizure of more than $ 1 million in the Dominican Republic
Officials from the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry of the Dominican Republic arrested three other Venezuelans linked to the confiscation of 1 million 378 thousand 178 US dollars, in a plane at the International Airport of La Romana just before to take off
The authorities, along with canine units of the DNCD, conducted a raid on a Villa de Casa de Campo where they arrested two men and a woman, who confiscated 31 thousand dollars, two vehicles, USB drives, personal documents and other evidence.
“With the arrest of the new implicated, there are six detainees and we hope to continue offering other details as the investigation progresses,” the note states.
The authorities deepen the investigation, while those arrested and the evidence collected are in the hands of the Public Ministry for the corresponding purposes.
The DNCD, the Customs Directorate, the Airport Security Specialized Body and the Public Prosecutor’s Office confiscated the money at La Romana International Airport when three foreigners, currently in prison, tried to take him out of the country to Venezuela in a Venezuelan-registered plane.
