Citizens of Santo Domingo rang casseroles, cauldrons and pots from their homes for the second night, following a protest call made on social networks, because of the discontent caused after the suspension of municipal elections last Sunday 16.

As on Friday, the call to “cacerolazo” was made from 8:00 pm to 8:10 pm. The pans were heard from the exclusive towers of sectors of the Central Polygon, such as Piantini and Naco, as well as in residential Santo Domingo Oeste. The “tin tin” that produces the metal contact of pots and spoons also rang in Bella Vista, El Millón, Gascue, La Julia, Las Pradreras and other middle class sectors.

Drivers who were passing through Abraham Lincoln Avenue also joined the claim by blowing their car horns.

In Santiago they also joined the demonstration.
