Brazil donates 4 million dollars to Venezuelan migrants

238views

Some four million dollars will be donated by the Government of Brazil to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to attend to Venezuelan migration.

The help will also be extended to the International Organization for Migration. Both UNHCR and IOM provide assistance to Venezuelans who have arrived in Brazil, especially in the border state of Roraima.

Roraima has become the main gateway for those citizens who are mobilized due to the critical political and economic situation in Venezuela.

The resources will be shared equally between the two organizations, to manage a dozen shelters maintained in the region with the support of Brazil.
