New York State, the largest focus of coronavirus in the United States, has registered 66,497 COVID-19 infections and 1,218 deaths until Monday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced at a press conference at a 2,500-bed field hospital that will begin to operate today.
“In terms of number of cases, the curve continues to rise, with 6,984” more than yesterday, Cuomo said from the Javits convention center, which will host the new emergency facilities.
