The coronavirus COVID-19 exceeds 100,000 cases of infection in several countries of the world, the vast majority (more than 80,000) in China, where 3,070 deaths have been recorded by this cause. The death toll, worldwide, exceeds 3,400. Outside of China, cases have been confirmed in 96 countries, including Spain.

The situation in Italy is especially worrying, with 4,636 cases detected and 197 deaths; Iran, with 124 dead and 4,747 confirmed cases and South Korea, with more than 7,000 cases diagnosed and 46 deaths.

The rapidity with which the disease spreads has led several countries to close their borders with China and also with Iran. The entry of citizens of European countries with cases such as Italy or Spain, which has restrictions on travel to Israel, has also been banned

America

The country that worries the most on the continent is the United States, which has 266 cases and 15 deaths. Its president, Donald Trump, on February 9 banned entry to all those who had visited Iran in the last 14 days and hopes to restrict access from the Mexican border.

Among those affected are a total of 21 people who have tested positive for coronavirus tests on the Grand Princess cruise, with more than 2,000 passengers on board, and located since Wednesday in front of San Francisco (California).

Canada is the second country with the highest number of cases: 49.

Covid-19 has also begun to spread throughout Latin America. Ecuador has 13 cases, one of them a 70-year-old Ecuadorian resident in Spain who is in critical condition. Mexico has six patients, Brazil has 13 and San Bartolomé records three cases. There are two cases in Argentina and one case in Chile, Peru, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Colombia.
