The National Institute of Statistics published data showing Venezuelans and Colombians as the foreigners who increased the most in Spain, the first quarter of this year.
The review by EFE indicates that the respective increases by Venezuelans was 20.6% in contrast to that of Colombians, which amounted to 10.5%.
The number of foreigners rose by 100,764 residents in that period (up to 4.6 million), mainly Venezuelans (18,749) and Colombians (16,794), followed, among others, by Moroccans (10,366), Italians (9,789) and Argentines (2,034). .
The UN estimates that three million people have left Venezuela because of the vast majority of the economic, social and political crisis the country is experiencing; of them, 2.4 million are found in Ibero-American countries.
