The figures of international stature Luis Fonsi, Alejandro Sanz and Juanes will participate on February 22 in a concert to raise funds for Venezuela that will take place in the Colombian city of Cúcuta, announced on Thursday the British businessman and philanthropist Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.

According to Branson, the interim president of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, and also the opposition leader Leopoldo López asked him for help with the goal of organizing “a beautiful concert to attract world attention,” he explained in the video. He also commented that the event “will be broadcast live to millions of people around the world.” 100% of the donations that are collected in the Concert for freedom will be destined to the most needy of Venezuela, assured the Briton.
Guiadó reported that he has raised more than 100 million dollars to help Venezuelans and that medical supplies and food in Cúcuta will enter his country on February 23 with the support of volunteers, the Catholic Church and several NGOs.
