The blackout continues in Venezuela: electricity service is precarious and intermittent

“There are 17 confirmed deaths, 15 of them in Maturín, however, we have not been able to monitor 17 of the 40 hospitals that are normally monitored,” said the president of the Venezuelan Parliament.

The figure corresponds to 21 years, the hours after the press conference, the agreement with the information discriminated by the deputy José Manuel Olivares after a verification in the ten main hospitals in the country.

Venezuela’s health minister, Carlos Alvarado, refuted the information by denying the deaths. He said that the government has a contingency plan to serve all hospitals in the country and that 90% of the plants in the health centers are in operation.

The minister’s statements also contrast with the kilometers of messages circulating on social networks where the deceased can be about 40, many of them patients with dialysis treatment.
